My name is Heather, and I’ve been in love with chinchillas since 1998. Over the years I’ve owned, fostered, and even bottle-raised chins in need, including a newborn who came to me just days old and required round-the-clock care. Each chin I’ve loved has taught me something new — about trust, health, enrichment, and just how big a personality can fit into such a tiny, fluffy body.

Life took me away from chins for a while… and then Pippin happened.

Pippin is our Brown Velvet cuddle-bug, chaos coordinator, and official treat tester. He reminded us why chinchillas are so special — and why education matters. Because once you know better, you do better.

I live in Bountiful, Utah with my husband of 20 years and our daughter, Charlotte, who believes Pippin deserves snuggles and “just one more treat” at all times. I work full-time as a Veterinary Client Care Coordinator at a Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Clinic, where I get to learn from incredible veterinarians, including an Exotic Specialist. I’m also a passionate Wellness and Pet Advocate, and I love sharing safe, holistic approaches to caring for both people and animals.

Setareh Chinchillas was built with one mission:
