What it means, common causes, and how to help.

A healthy chinchilla produces firm, dry, bean-shaped poop pellets.
If stool becomes soft, sticky, smears, watery, or clumps together, something is wrong.

Soft stool is never normal in chinchillas — and true diarrhea can be dangerous very quickly, especially in babies, seniors, or sick chins.

The earlier you act, the easier it is to correct.
